About Dan Sarkozi

Dan Sarkozi on The Rejuvenation Retreat

Dan is the founder of Rejuvenation Retreats. He has been a life-long athlete, competing in various sports such as Taekwondo, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Alongside his athletic endeavors Dan's coaching career began with his first black belt at age fourteen, continued when he began personal training in 2008, saw him become the youngest British Boxing Board of control registered trainer/ second in 2009, and achieve the rank of Yoga Acharya (professor of yoga) in 2020.

A lifelong practitioner of yoga, Dan suffered a surprise stroke at age 28, due to a hidden heart defect. He was fortunate to make a full recovery, and a return to professional boxing, of which he believes his life-long practice of yoga, nutrition, and regular exercise played an integral role: ‘People always ask what I did to recover from my stroke, but the answer lies in what I did for the twenty years before I had it’.

Now retired from competition, Dan has taught boxing, practical health, and Yoga, all over the world, including the Empire Fighting Chance charity, United Kingdom, where he was founding coach and mentor. An advocate for a holistic approach to health, and acknowledging the needs of the individual, Sarkozi is an inspiring public speaker, keynoting at venues such as the Excel London.

Dan is fluent in British Sign Language and currently studying an Open Degree at The Open University, specialising in health sciences and literature.

Dan Sarkozi did more than that. He changed my life"

"I began training with Dan ... when I had a serious back problem. I had been to various specialists and chiropractors and was told I was looking at medication for as long as possible before surgery. Dan said he may be able to help me and did exactly that. He designed a routine and identified certain imbalances in my body that caused the pain to go away after a few months. I haven't looked back since."

Our Ethos

We believe achieving optimal health is a unique goal for each individual. Everyone has their own ideas of how the healthiest version of themselves manifests. We promote ideas that help people realise both what optimum health looks like for them, and the tools they can use to achieve it. And we provide retreats for people to explore this journey.

Sometimes this means turning to different cultures. Being open to, and utilizing, as many different approaches as possible, allows us to cater for a wide range of individual goals. By observing how various cultures collide and combine, our clients gain a clearer picture of what optimal health looks like for them, and the tools they need to use to achieve it.

Dan is the founder of rejuvenation retreats. He has been a life-long athlete, competing in various sports such as Taekwondo, Boxing, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

Retraite Le Puget is our secluded estate of 24 acres in rural Languedoc, with its rolling hills, lake and forests. In the distance are the snow-capped peaks of the Pyrenees.

Languedoc is known for its glorious weather, great food and wine, medieval castles and market towns. There is also plenty of opportunity for outward bound activities, with a swimming pool, horse riding and yoga studio available on the farm.

The hills and mountains provide excellent road and off-road cycling and skiing in the winter.  The farmhouse and the auberge accommodate up to 18 people in 8 double or twin rooms, with en-suite bathrooms to 6 of them. They can be rented separately or together: the auberge has plenty of space for groups to enjoy time together, for meetings and workshops and the farmhouse is a smaller more intimate and stylish home.

‘I have been a client of Dan's for a year and have seen a massive change in my health and fitness. Dan has overseen my training for 2 marathons, including London, and 3 half marathons. We meet weekly and he manages to accommodate the fact that I juggle my training between looking after my two kids and my thriving business. The sporting challenges I am setting myself are growing and that is down massively to the confidence that Dan has given me in my fitness and ability - I would recommend Dan without hesitation’.
